Reclaim clay (usually just referred to as “reclaim” by potters) is clay that has been used but not yet fired and is put through a recycling process to make it usable again. This reduces waste and allows for clay to be reused repeatedly, making it an environmentally friendly option. It’s common practice in pottery studios to reclaim both wet clay scraps and dried-out clay, though the reclamation process is different for each of these states.
