Some pigments (pinks, reds, and purples in particular) don’t hold up as well as other colors do at the temperatures required for vitrification. They may fade to light beige or even white and look perfectly fine; however, pieces showing animals with white or beige ears and noses, or human figures with white lips will often be marketed as seconds.
