Slaking bone-dry clay is the process of rehydrating dry clay by submerging it in water. This allows the clay to be recycled and reused, especially for reclaiming clay scraps. Bone dry clay is fragile and can be easily broken, but slaking allows it to be softened and reincorporated into usable clay.
